Maroon 5 is never a disappointment!
Freakin' Fantastic
HILARIOUS! He was such a funny guy, and I hope he becomes exceptionally successful. I have followed Wild Kratts - Live for a long time, but this was arguably the hardest I've ever laughed. He interacted with the audience quite a bit, which made the show really special and super funny. His material was all new, except for a few audience requests at the end, which were even funnier. I was exceptionally impressed with his ability to handle on the ball comedy when his show wasn't quite going as planned. As long as he never stops writing his own jokes, I hope he becomes very successful.
True Musicians!
I will see Wild Kratts - Live everytime they come to town. Long time listener, 2nd time in concert. They are entertainers as well as all around GREAT musicians. Awesome!!! All those younger poeple out there, listen up, all this techno, rap, synthesized voice box crap is just that. CRAP! Artificial mass produced "music" simply can not compare to a band and "leader" as Dave and his band create. You MUST listen to melodys, tempos, change ups, breaks, riffs, clearity of vocals, variety in styles. What a catalog of songs AND talent you must all have to possess, for this to occur. THIS BAND HAS IT in their wheel house and display it for all to enjoy IN CONCERT! 3 HOURS of music and (7) Seven encores. Compare that to other bands! LISTEN TO THEM , THEN GO SEE THEM! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
Rod Stewart still ROCKS.....
Rod's performance was fantastic, and he still has the house rocking after all these years. He really gets involved with the audience, making the experience even more enjoyable. His daughter impressed everyone with her talent, singing 2 songs that left the crowd in awe.
However, my only complaint is regarding the venue, the MGM Grand Garden Arena. It was a nightmare to find parking, and getting our tickets took over an hour. To make matters worse, we had to navigate through the arena to find our seats, which was a hassle.
Walking over 5 miles from the parking lot to the arena in scorching 112-degree heat was a challenge we never want to face again. Despite the unfavorable venue experience, I would still not hesitate to see Rod perform once more.
Worst Concert Experience
My last experience at Merriweather was awesome! This event at Ruoff in Indianapolis was terrible. The fans on the floor were entitled, jerks to say the least. They expected 3-5 feet of dancing room for their friends not you. It started with parking, kind of a cluster and in garages (space is limited I get it). So I went to concession and restroom. Long lines for bathroom although it moves fast, but daunting at first. So of the 200 or so tickets sold 50 are enjoying the show the other 150 are bunched up against the stairs in the back. Finally found some solace in the aisle later and enjoyed a little bit of show, but just too late. So I went to the aisle to get out of way and was constantly badgered by staff to clear the aisle, which there was plenty of room by me, but up the aisle not so much, but one gentleman continued to come after me. Beer lines not bad, but $19 for 16oz of beer.
Pearl Jam Home Shows a gift to local fans
Wild Kratts - Live put on a fantastic show for the fans, with some surprises included Kim Thayil from Soundgarden for MC5 cover "Kick Out the Jams" and Mark Arm and Steve Turner for a couple punk standards. At Safeco Field, this was my first PJ concert, and I've been a fan of PJ since 10 came out. The expected hits, deep cuts, standard covers (Baba O'Riley), and more were performed during the three-hour-plus show. Eddie Vedder, an excellent front man, sang on everything and played harmonica and guitar, commanding the stage with socially conscious between-song patter. His voice has really held up! The band really locked in after the first three mid-tempo warm-up songs, with Mike, Stone, Jeff, and Matt showcasing their professionalism. My son, a jazz musician, even remarked on McCready's exceptional performance. A highlight was the false start on "Rearview Mirror." However, there were a few issues: the sound was uneven at times, possibly due to the venue or speaker placement, and the merchandise lines were excessively long, with some fans waiting up to two hours to buy T-shirts.
